Most people’s believe that they are superior to others. Those that are wealthy and powerful find it simple to believe that it’s because of their inherent superiority. When the rest of the world was becoming aware of Africa, Africa had already passed through its period of greatest power and prosperity. It was simple for others to dimiss their accomplishments, even if they were aware of them. Asians and Europeans have been taught to see Africans as inferior, and it’s hard to accept inferior people as your ancestors and see them as capable of fantastic accomplishments. This is changing slowly, but it will take time.
