First, let me say that I am sorry you feel this way. I know - believe me, I KNOW! - how you feel. I once felt the very same way over very severe acne I had in the past. It was hard even to go out in public or face anyone.
Thankfully - through expensive medications - I don’t have that sort of acne anymore. But I know how it feels to want to take drastic action.
Rhinoplasty can cost anywhere from $3000 to $8000. It varies. Check this website to find out the average cost in your area: http://www.realself.com/Rhinoplasty/cost
Rhinoplasty may or may not solve the problem after one surgery; errors do occur and sometimes surgery has to repeated - I just want to let you know ahead of time.
Check out the before & after photos on this website and they’ll give you a excellent thought what a rhinoplasty can really accomplish: http://www.realself.com/Rhinoplasty/Nose-job/reviews
Make sure - if you get it done - that you find a qualified surgeon with a excellent reputation. You don’t want one who has a reputation for making errors, or you may possibly end up after the surgery worse off (as far as how your nose looks) than before. Google the surgeon’s name to check out reviews before you make an appointment. If you see offers for cheap cosmetic surgery, the people doing the surgery likely are either not fully qualified or don’t have a excellent reputation. It’s worth it to pay full price for the surgery.
I really wish you the best.
I would suggest - just from my own experience, and having been through similar struggles - that it would be excellent for you to see a counselor, even if you do have the surgery. I have learned - through what I went through with the acne, and in the couple of years since then - that your self-image is not really determined by how you look. Really, you can be pleased with yourself even when you don’t look the way you want to look. You can do this by choosing what you are going to reckon or believe in this area yourself. What others reckon of you does not define you; YOU know yourself better than anyone else, so YOU are the only one qualified to define YOU. If you are acceptable to yourself, you are OK. How you look does not define you. I know people treat us like looks are all that matters, but the truth is that who you are matters more than how you look.
I’ve learned that - no matter how much you improve how you look (whether it takes acne medication or surgery!), you won’t feel excellent in this area yourself unless you change the way you reckon. There are models who despise their bodies - because they reckon this way in this area themselves; there are ordinary-looking people, with flaws, who are pleased with themselves, because they reckon excellent things in this area themselves. If your surgery makes you reckon different things in this area yourself, it will help you. If you keep thinking the same way, the surgery won’t help you. This is where a counselor can help you - change the underlying thoughts that make you feel so dreadful in this area yourself.
And - if your parents are appreciative people - it would be excellent to tell them how you’re feeling in this area not even wanting them to see you, because of your nose. They will want to help you. And they may possibly probably schedule an appointment for you with a counselor.
